Progressive Tinnitus Management (PTM)
Progressive Tinnitus Management (PTM) is a structured, education-based framework developed within the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Rather than promising a cure, it focuses on helping people understand tinnitus and build practical coping skills, with support stepped up only as far as each person needs.
PTM is usually described in levels — from initial triage and audiological evaluation, through group education about how tinnitus works and how sound and coping strategies can help, up to individualized support for those who need it. Two threads run throughout: education and self-management, including the everyday use of comfortable background sound.
Lulltide is designed in the spirit of that self-management layer — plain-language education plus easy, schedulable sound enrichment you can use at home. It is a complement to professional care, not a substitute for it; if tinnitus is affecting your sleep, mood, or concentration, an audiologist can help you build a fuller plan.
General information, not medical advice. Lulltide is a wellness product, not a medical device. For diagnosis or care, please see an audiologist or doctor.
