Sound enrichment, explained
Sound enrichment simply means adding low-level, comfortable background sound to your environment so it is never fully silent. Quiet rooms can make any sound stand out more; a soft, steady backdrop gives your attention somewhere else to rest.
People use many kinds of sound for this: nature sounds, fans, music, and the familiar "colors" of noise — white, pink, and brown. Some prefer broadband sound; others like narrower, gentler textures. There is no single right choice — comfort is the goal, and a low, pleasant level is more useful than a loud one.
Lulltide is built around this idea: continuous, schedulable background audio for day and night, plus optional sound textures (including notched soundscapes, an approach studied in tailor-made-sound research) that you can tune to your own comfort. It is for relaxation and self-management — not a treatment.
